Jem Gruber
Jem works at SESCO as an estimator and has
worked as an electrician over the years on various
commercial and residential jobs. Before he came
to SESCO, he worked for 12 years at Laner Electric
Supply. He also has worked at Subway Guitars
building and repairing guitars, and as a sound
person at Ashkenaz. One of the things he likes
about electrical work is that "it's always something
new, never a dull moment!"
Born in Detroit "Motown" Michigan, he also spent some of his youth on
the east coast, transplanting himself to California in 1988. He says, "I
love living in the bay area. This place has got it going on." He shares
his life here with his son, Theo Rush Gruber, 8 years old and "the light
of my life."
When he's not working at SESCO, Jem works at Lucky JuJu in
Alameda, the fantastic pinball palace, and plays in a rock and roll
band, Cleve-Land.
He says, "I respect and admire everyone I work with. I feel honored to
work with the best and brightest people in the industry."
